HI, welcome to our site, my name is Tony and along with my business partner Andrew (plus Max & Poppy the Labradors) took over the Oystercatcher in July 2010. Since then we have met many local people and lots of regular visitors and hopefully made some new friends.
Andrew and I have been business partners for over 30 years starting in Cornwall where we had a small hotel and then for the last 18 years we have been in private service working all over the world.
Andrew is a fully qualified chef who prefers to cook the more traditional dishes with his own style and flair and believes in using locally sourced products to their best advantage. Our meat comes from the isle of Bute and our fish from Tarbert on the opposite bank of loch Fyne, so they really are local. We also have real ales on tap and always try to keep at least one of Fyne Ales excellent beers available, which again is very local and brewed at the top of the loch.
Regular visitors will notice that there are now an extra 10 visitor moorings making 15 in total and we are hoping to extend the pontoon by 20 metres in the near future. Longer term the plan is to build a small shower block for use by visiting boat crews.
Moorings – Are free, but a donation towards maintenance would be greatly appreciated.
Pontoon – Is free for visitors to Otter Ferry , but a donation towards maintenance would be greatly appreciated
